If Winnipeg had any sense they'd ship Myers out. Trouba is so much more valuable. All he wants is to play on the right side so ship out another right side dman and make room.

I'm surprised more people aren't suggesting this. It makes sense for WPG from a long term and money standpoint to give in to Trouba and clear some space by moving Myers. However, Pens want nothing to do with that. Daley's style of play is much more effective in Pittsburgh's system than Myers would be.

Fair value but i dont think the pens trade a very reliable defenseman both offensivly and defensivly like daley. He may not be great but at least he is consistent. Maybe swap daley out with maatta and add an "A" prospect.

The Jets hold all the cards either they get a blockbuster trade for Trouba or make him sit. The Jets have built one of the best group of young kids in the league and they are about to get better. Myers is healthy and playing very well but not untouchable if the price is right but to trade him Trouba has to sign first if not Myers isn't going any where.

In my opinion the Jets know that it isn't a "left side-right side" issue.....its a "don't want to play in Winnipeg" issue. If it was only a "fit" issue then I'd imagine that they would have traded Myers already.

What exactly happens with a kid like Trouba beyond Dec. 1? I realize he is ineligible to play for the rest of the season if still unsigned. Is he still property of Winnipeg as a RFA going into 2017-18? What if he never re-signs and is never traded?
