The Leafs may have won this trade, and that’s great and all, but was it worth sacrificing their morals? Stealing from a senile old man... where does it end? Shame on Dubas and RIP Pit fans.
I am one of the biggest Kapanen boosters on this site but... Thats just too much. Thanks JR!
I guess Doobie heard y'all were talking **** and went out to shut the haters up lol.
So Rutherford looks at his Penguins Farm System which is already really lacking and decides to trade one of his best prospects and a mid round first for a third liner lmaoooo
This has to just be the first of several moves by Jim Rutherford this offseason. Pittsburgh was already hurting for draft picks and cap space, and now they've given up more?
I am LOOSING MY MIND RIGHT NOW! He trades AWAY Dominik Kahun for Connor FREAKING FALL DOWN Sheary and Evan Rodriguez and NOW BOTH are gone as is Kahun which played SOOO well and has so much upside AND on top of this he trades away OUR 15th OVERALL first round pick of this years STACKED DRAFT for a player who we drafted YEARS AGO!!!
This is a sink of swim trade. As good as GMJR has been in years past building championship teams, I think he knows he needs to make a splash this offseason. If it pays off, he continues as GM and the Penguins return to top tier contenders...if not...he's probably going to start packing up his things.
Gotta give it to him though. It takes cahones to make a risky trade like this. I wouldn't have made it. I think at #15OA this year, you're going to get someone better than Kapanen. Plus Hallander is a good prospect...so if you're a Pens fan, better hope he knows what he's doing here.
Uhh is it ok that I can say Dubas did great things in this trade? Clear cap space, get the 15th pick in this years draft, and get a decent Dman prospect? Can I actually say Dubas fleeced Rutherford?
