Nothing...absolutely nothing involving Rick Nash qualifies as a blockbuster trade. It is nothing more than a salary dump...so take Ovechkin out of the deal and ask the Caps for a couple serviceable puck bags AND have the Rags retain half of the old nag's salary and maybe you have something here...maybe.

Why would the caps get rid of Ovechkin for Nash? Caps have zero interest in Nash due to his high cap hit, especially if the asking price is Ovechkin. Fast and Andersson and two non-first round picks do not sweeten the deal much at all when you consider the caps are getting rid of a generational player.
