Description

Hawks get save cap space, MTL upgrades their left side

TBL gets out from one of the contracts they need to move so they can keep their RFA's, CHI gets a solid winger cheap.

The Hawks get more cap space, the Wings get a guy who helps them reach the floor who can be flipped at the TDL

This isn't bad at all!

Only concern maybe Palat. Deal maybe a tad light.

But, knowing this is a deal that can be completed provided Palat says ok; I would move Saad. Even if eating 50% of the cap hit, Palat is an upgrade and you can likely parlay that into a solid young top 9 forward.

Nevertheless.... this is well thought out.

Lehner wants at least 5 x $7M noway he signs that cheaply. Detroit says no and i doubt Palat has any interest in waiving for Chicago.

I agree. Smith is a cap dump plain and simple so why would Detroit give up a 5th to have cap dumped on them.

MTL says no, Kulak CAN play top 4 with Petry, Kulak is fast big body, Maata is too slow. Stapley is having a good progression like Jake Evans did, I wouldn’t trade him right now
