Anaheim and Toronto currently have two of the most maligned right sides in the League. You've created one that's worse:

Manson - Gudbranson > Severson - Holl >> Subban - Smith

The way I look at it the right side I have above is just as good or better than the right side the Leafs used last year. Holl = Holl. Severson = Barrie. Lehtonen > Ceci.

Then Zacha brings a bigger more physical and defensive presence than Johnsson. And Joey Anderson is brought in to develop into a Kapanen replacement.

I'm not critiquing this idea from Toronto's point of view; I'm trying to point out that it makes New Jersey's defense even worse than it is now. Therefore, I don't thing that this would interest them.

Yep. I don't think there is a single guy in the Leafs forward group (excluding unknowns like Barabanov) that I would play Zacha over.

Also, reading the thread, I think there is confusion about the fact that you are talking about NJD's would be D-core.
