CBJ could have a much better season this year if they accept Markstrom and a 2nd for Anderson. They may prefer to gamble, and let Korpisalo determine where they finish, but keeping Korpisalo as a 1b for one more year could keep his price tag down for a bridge next summer. I think they should take this, and take a shot at the playoffs.

Goldobin and a 3rd for Puljujarvi looks fair, and everybody gets to try out new places.

Sutter for Greenway does not appear likely to help Minnesota rebuild.

i like the CBJ deal if it's a deadline swap giving VAN a sample of what Demko can do.

The CBJ deal would give them a 3rd line and dump some money. Signing Mason would give them a vet. backup and if you look at Mason's record he's really only had 1 bad season. About Puljujarvi, he was pissed he didn't get a legit look with the lackluster Oil so I think I'd want out as well. Baertschi is a wildcard. He's a decent player who if he can play without symptoms he'll be a good 3rd line winger. If he can't then he will prob. retire. The Sutter deal is a salary dump for Van. Getting anything for him would suffice doesn't necessary have to be Greenway.
I would even think about sending Boeser back home to Minny for a '20 1st and Zucker if he waves his m-ntc. If we didn't make the playoffs it would give us two 1st in a good draft. If we did make the playoffs we would still have a 1st rd pick.
