Tampa has cap problems. No reason at all to take on Chara.

Neither Tampa or St Louis can afford those contracts, and I'm not quite sure why someone would trade a goalie a year or two away from being on of the best goalies in the league for someone who is ready to retire.

I don't see any of these things happening. St. Louis isn't settling for a 1st round pick two years from now for Shattenkirk. And they're especially not taking Siedenberg in return when the purpose for trading Shattenkirk is to save money to sign and/or replace Backes, Brouwer, & Schwartz.

Yandle is getting more than a three year contract.

If Tampa thinks this is there opportunity now, then they're going to go all-in by re-signing Stamkos. No way they could take on Chara at $7 mill too. Vasilevsky is their future.
