Simple approach: try to move as many guys that don’t make the team worse in short/long term, I see Sutter as the only one you could debate that if you move him we are a weaker team, personally I think Gaudette is very close.

these moves would kill our depth for this season but would give us another 7-9 mid / late round picks and open a lot of extra cap space ($12m+) to sign a 1-2 top 4 d and a top 6 scoring winger. These moves would undoubtedly hurt their chances at the playoffs, if Edler is out for a while I can’t see them making it anyhow.

The mid/ late rounds will vary, maybe Sutter gets a 2nd, maybe he doesn’t, point here is just getting more picks and clearing cap and space for the young guys.
