Buffalo catches a break

Created by: Shibbal18
Team: 2016-17 Buffalo Sabres
Initial Creation Date: May 11, 2016
Published: May 11, 2016
Salary Cap Mode: Basic
Description
The lines are very interchangeable which fits to Bylsma's scheme. S. Reinhart can wing Eichel, Vermette can switch with Foligno, Yakupov can switch wings, etc.
Franson trade: 2 guys get a change of scenery, Yakupov has been particularly bad while Franson is a serviceable 3-4 dman who will be an upgrade for EDM.
G. Reinhardt trade: Nelson is more green than Reinhart but has a good upside, Makarov gives them a solid prospect in net, plus another prospect through the draft. Clendening is a throw in, he'll be a 7th dman at best, but will spend his time in the AHL.
Coyotes trade: Moulson is taken on for the 2 3rd rounders (he may also have a turnaround season) Ennis for Vermette, Mayo, and a 4th. Ennis (25 to 30 goal potential) give the Yotes offense, Vermette gives the Sabres a vet who can give them 15 to 20 goals.

Arizona pinches pennies. No way they would taken on Ennis and especially Moulson for their contracts and their play Arizona has "lots of young" forwards and wouldn't want to be saddled with 9.6m a year of Moulson and Ennis

Those trades are all hideous and in heavy favor of the Sabres. Mostly just dumping their garbage!

Why not just do the one trade between Edmonton and Buffalo? Not in reality but you.

"Coyotes trade: prospect Dvorak swapped for prospect Baptiste, Baptiste is more offensive and Dvorak is more of a 3rd line guy" taken straight from the description. Dvorak has posted back to back 100+ point seasons including the best points/gm in the OHL this season. Baptiste never touched 90 points in his four OHL seasons.
