Take Shaw and a second out of that trade. Also, to keep your RS at three, don't retain on Schlemko and add Kulikov. You'll not get anything for trading Hanzal. Since you can afford to, you may as well keep him. Montreal could just sign Gardiner in the offseason if they want a legit LHD.

that 1st round pick is going the other way on the penguins trade.
I don't even think the Pens would be interested in Danault. He's not a fast player for a team that is looking to increase it's speed.

You're asking the Penguins to give up too much for Danault. That wouldn't help them at all, they need defense.
