COL has two first round picks. One top4 dman can be the missing piece for a deep playoff run. Giving a first, second and Vatman for one of their two first rounders in '19.

Again with the 1st overall bull****. At best, Colorado has a 18.5% of getting Hughes and Ottawa wont finish last.

You got him for a "good" 2nd center, a prospect that was going nowhere and you think you can flip him for a top 10 draft pick? I really don't think so...

And all those signing will leave you little to zero money to re-sign Hall and/or give a decent contract to Hischier.

Look at the title of the thread. What do you think the pick is in reference to? You really think Colorado trades an unprotected Ottawa pick?

I know but I think he meant getting Hughes with their pick and just didn't create a middle of the pack guy from the Ottawa pick

If that is the case, I hope he will clarify. Usually you see likely lottery picks with protections on them.

If this is the case, I can guarantee that Colorado would specify that NJ gets the lower of the 2 1st round picks. Lately teams that trade 1st round picks ensure they are lottery protected. So even if there is a .05% chance of winning the lottery they likely wont trade that pick unprotected.

Also if your going to sign stone, skinner and Karlsson, you better be ready to lose Hall. And I doubt Stone and Skinner take less then 7 years, especially since OTT and Buff can and will offer 8 year deals. I would also be shocked if Karlsson signs for anything less then 12 mill (he's on record saying he wants a max deal).

After what Detroit has been through with Mrazek and Howard I doubt they would be interested in another aging goalie whose play has been in decline for more then a year.
