The news came from 2 reliable sources, which makes me think that Pittsburgh has at least one deal in place to relieve contractual obligations. While my first thought might go to Kessel or Hagelin, I actually think it will be Dumoulin or Maata that is traded. Considering how cash strapped they will become with a Jack Johnson signing, which kind of baffled me as well, I need to believe they have a deal or two in the oven.

Dumoulin has arguably been the best defender the Penguins have over the last two seasons, he is not going anywhere. Maatta maybe, but still unlikely, i think mgmt really likes him. Haglin is the odd man out. Also doubt Brass will be leaving, They brought him in to be a 3c.

They're signing Johnson and not trading for Skinner. That's how they manage the salary cap.

look is we are going to waste cap space on a defenseman can we at least bring back Matt Cooke to step on Wilsons ankle?

I already said in the description that I not GMJR. I get that a lot because of my trades on this website, but those rumors are absolutely 100% FALSE. Time to put that one to bed PEOPLE. Still, there's no need to call me a baby. I am 59 years old. It says so right in my profile. JEEZ!

Matt Cooke is a FORWARD. Great guy too. he probably would come back... for the right price (stay tuned).
