Larkin should fire his agent if he does that. A discount and losing 1 year of UFA? Mantha deal looks right for a 2 year deal.

I like it I think as for the draft spot at 6, I think the wings will get either bouchard, hughes, or Dobson.

A 5 year deal take Larkin up to his last year of RFA where he gets his bigger deal, Actually might not be a bad deal I know Red Wings beat writer Ansar Khan said that Holland offered Larkin 5 years and Mantha 2 years slightly less then $4 million Larkin might get more AAV maybe $6 million or slightly over on a 5 year deal. We shall see.

I think so too Holland is pretty high on all 3, I think he takes one of either Bouchard/Dobson or Hughes depending on how it falls after Montreal picks.

I was under the impression UFA was after 7 years of service. 3 year ELC and 5 year contract is 8

I might be wrong but most UFA's are 27 years when they become UFA's so Larkin would still have 6 more years then. I know i read that he still had one more year after he signed the 5 year deal. and would get the bigger deal after.

I see. If thats the case I retract my statement, although with some of the deals for eichel, draisaitl etc. i think its closer to 6.5 than 5.5

Agreed i definitely see Larkin in the 6.5 range more then my 5.5 range especially on a 5 year deal, I know most UFA's turn 27 when they generally hit the market. If that's the case then it would be 5 years with one more year of RFA but i might be wrong as well. Pretty sure Khan said that he had one more year after the 5 year deal. Sounds like Larkin and his agent want the 5 years and Holland wanted more from my understanding.

I think your pretty accurate here to what will REALLY happen. Alot of trades are being shown by others or buying out Ericsson, but the real Ken Holland wont do anything creative. I think they hold onto Jensen a little longer, but I agree that the time is up for Oullet. I think at #6, at this point, you cant lose on which Defense man you take... Only time will tell who got the better one.

Would love to see Holland buy out Ericsson, But like you said he wont do it. At least not this year maybe next. With Frk not being retained Holland will either bring up Svechnikov or possibly sign Vanek to a one year deal. Sounds like i'm spot on here with the cap either $79.5 million or right at $80 million either way the Wings should have some wiggle room here to work with. They've said that Ouellet is definitely gone Blashill loves Jensen could see him as a trade deadline kind of deal instead of now. But i feel like Ouellet that this season will be his last he's a UFA next summer i'm referring to Jensen that is.
