Detroit declines in a heart beat. Unless we acquire a different pick in the top 10? Not happening

What if we switched the Flyers first round for the oilers?

Don’t think the oilers take that trade. Simmonds is good but he isn’t a top 4 pick prospect and a top 10 overall pick good.

If the Oilers had 2 first rounders to offer, then we might take that. Holland came out and said he will not drop out of the top 10

Honestly, I want nothing to do with Puljujarvi. I would rather just move up to 7 or 8 and get Wahlstrom if he is still available. He seems to be a better prospect than Jesse and is more of what we need, pure sniper.

Wahlstrom would be who I’d want us to target with the Detroit pick

That then kind of makes moving Simmer pointless. I would rather have Simmer than Perron and we can just slide Simmer over to LW.

I don’t think moving Simmer to LW is realistic. He isn’t comfortable there. When he and Jake were on the same line at parts the last few years it was Jake who moved to LW even though Jake said he wasn’t comfortable there either.

Fair enough. I don't think signing Perron is a good idea though. That will likely be Frost's spot.

I think Frost is another year away yet, I would be totally fine with trading Perron after one year and Frost taking his spot

Frost basically needs to have an absurd camp and offseason for him to make the team. Highly doubt that he does.

Perron is signed for 3 years here. I can almost guarantee nobody will want him and his $5+ mil after he puts up 30 points on this team.
