Description
*Lineup is for 2 years from now*. Plenty of young guns and plenty of cap space. Play Ceci top minutes for a year, then trade him. Only issue is they would likely be bad during the 2018-19 season and wouldn't have their own first round pick. Hopefully better goaltending, some coaching changes, and a fresh start can at least bring us up to middle of the pack that year.

Problem is that I doubt Duchene resigns on a rebuilding team the d core is too young for us to be a playoff contender and they’re gonna make mistakes. Other then Duchene resigning it looks really good

I would disagree. He is really making it sound like he wants to stay in Ottawa long-term and I don't think he wants to make the same mistake twice by leaving a team just as they are getting good. Ottawa is as close as he is going to get to being home which is also a big advantage for him personally and with all the extra cap space the Sens would be able to offer him a fairly lucrative contract. This would also be a good opportunity to become an assistant captain to Stone and be a leader on a team that could be a real cup contender in 2-3 years.

Team would look a lot better too if Edmonton’s pick is top 6 and we select Boqvist.

Honestly I think Bouchard might be chosen before Boqvist at this point but either one would be great.
