It's a fair deal, but I am not sure the Leafs need another LD...... at least I would suggest they have been hunting for a solid RD for a year now.

For that reason and that reason alone, I think the Leafs pass.

As a Leafs fan, I kind of like this trade, but wonder if it causes future cap issues, (19/20 as Bennett would also have to be resigned) so I would like to at least see the third round pick, tied to Calgary holding onto $1M of Hamonic's salary!

Wouldn't the Leafs and (Carlson) be a lot better off, if the Leafs signed Carlson (instead of Calgary), and then the Leafs get to keep Brown and their picks. Don't know why the Leafs need Bennett.
