that’s too much for Domi (just the 1st could prob work) and why would Buf want Greiss at his contract?

The defense is worse. The offense will still struggle. You have three very shaky centers after eichel. Greiss is horrible.

I saw this as Greiss for Beaulieu, and Lehner for Dal Colle. One overpaid flop for same. One good player for same. But the extra year of term on Greiss does make it a bit rough, even if they don't have to play him.

Facts. O'Reilly and Ristolainen are the bright spots on the Sabres this season. Wennberg and Domi are young and have a lot of potential, so this team might be better, long term, but calling it fixed is a stretch.

I do really like the signings of De Haan and Cole. I think they make the team a lot better. But trading O'Reilly and Ristolainen seems like a setback, even with a decent return.

You have like 4 good players and you traded 2 in one deal. Keep those guys. Greiss is aweful keep lehrner. I still dont think arizona is trading max domi.

I sort of like the CBJ trade, I think the Jackets would have to add a lot though IMO. Those are two really good players that we are giving up for drafts picks that may be 20 or higher. and 3 decent prospects but not great. Take out one prospect and one 1st is not enough for either ROR or Risto. I think CBJ would have to add quite a bit to make that trade happen. Let's look at the Adam Larsson for Taylor Hall trade, Would you trade Risto for Larsson? I think you would laugh at the prospect, So think Taylor Hall at least for Risto, IMO Ray Shero would not let Hall go for that entire CBJ package.

Girgensons and Larsson, if you could get that for them you did a great job, so I say yes to those trades.

At this point Greiss is a cap dump so he adds no value to the trade. Dal Colle looks like he is a bust, so would not trade Beaulieu for him straight up much less add Lehner. So this one is an EASY no.

That is a lot for Dome. McCabe has a really high upside and he alone is probably all that is needed to get him much less the 1st and 2nd.

Of course these are only my opinions and I am only a casual fan, so you may be much more knowledgable than I.

The Jackets trade would be counterproductive for this team. Yes, O'Reilly is an upgrade on Wennberg. Yes, Ristolainen is an upgrade on Savard. But Savard doesn't really need an upgrade per se, and Wennberg is just fine (our need for a top center has faded with PLD's breakout), and paying for that with three futures (Carlsson and two 1sts) would rather destroy our prospect pool going forward. Add to that that it'd make it near-impossible for us to retain all of Panarin, Werenski, and Bobrovsky the offseason after next, and this becomes a very short-term "go for it" deal at an unnecessarily early stage.

Way to much for Domi. He's only worth Mccabe and the 2nd.

This team doesn’t need fixing it needs time. Other then acquiring a goalie all you need to do is draft and wait.
