Stastny is probably swinging for the fences on his next deal. I see a lot of people on here capping him at $7M and I guarantee there will be a GM stupid enough to give him that much.

I think Stastny’s done with Colorado. Why would Calgary give u Gillies and Stone for picks? Flyers wont give u Hart+ for a 1st.

No need to spend big $$$ on Stastny when you have Kamenev waiting and ready for the show. Kamenev is the most natural 2C for AVS in the forseeable future. He has good vision, strong passing skills and can shoot too. Also has a good defensive game and can win faceoffs. I think Bednar should slot Kamy straight into the 2C spot at the end of his AHL conditionning stint. Don't spend a 1st round pick on a goalie. You just have to sign a good FA backup to Varlamov (maybe Antti Raanta) and sign a couple NCAA FA projects (Cale Morris, Jake Kielly, Tanner Jaillet for example) for depth.

So Philly is going to give up the best goalie prospect in the world plus another young promising prospect for a middle of the road 1st Round pick? How about for the package the Flyers are sending, you send Rantanen, Barrie and Varlamov?
