I think you could get Nash between 4-5. I think 6 is a bit of an overpayment

That Nash deal is Brutal. Next Season we have about 6M in space + a likely 3M increase. We'd have 9M to sign McAvoy Heinen and Carlo..... McAvoy himself probably takes up 6M so you do the math.

If you click on the long-term outlook tab, you can see they actually have $20m in cap space the year you're talking about. That's $20m to sign Mac, Heinen and Carlo. There is no issue there.

Plus, they've got another wave of young (i.e. cheap) players coming along, and Krejci and Backes' NMC's switch to limited NTC's so they should have some flexibility if they choose to use it.

You may be right. I went with worst case scenario to see if the numbers worked from a cap perspective. Sweeney gave Backes $6m per season, so I used that as my model for Nash's extension. I'd love to get him cheaper though!
