I like the idea of going after jack. As long as the price is right its an obvious fit in the locker room (he's besties with sid) and we could probably help him more than the average team as we have some misfit Dmen experience.

Think you underpaid Sheahan tho

Sheahan price seems fair. He was overpaid with his performance in Detroit and has played to his contract with Pittsburgh.

My guess is he gets a one year offer from the Penguins right around his current salary in a prove it for a season contract. Other teams probably see the Brandon Sutter and Nick Bonino contracts and see that they don't necessarily play up to the caliber away from the Penguins that they did with them.
