New Jersey needs mobile left handed D and Zacha isn't panning out as a top 6 forward so far.

so if a 21 year old isn't panning out, u trade him for a young defenseman with potential. not a 28 year old.

New Jersey is a playoff team, they can afford to acquire someone in their prime.

So they go after gardiner. Pretty sure carlson is a much better option via fa without giving a up a huge asset.

Try closer to $12 million per for John Tavares with the salary cap going up. No way he's signing for only $10 million per.
