Nice coincidence then - no worries, none of this is proprietary haha. I think whether or not Sobotka would be a good fit in Pittsburgh's bottom six could be debated, but he's the easiest salary piece to move from the Blues side of things.

I think that with his skills and all-around play he would be able to take on a role for the pens similar to the way Bonino played for them.

Man, that's asking a lot of Robert Thomas in his first NHL season. Not to mention that I don't know why the team would move Schenn to RW after how well he's played at C this season. I also don't really understand signing both Brodziak and Sundqvist to identical deals. Seems to me you're gonna have to pick one or the other. Looking at just the forwards, though, I think you'd be better off not trading for Ekman-Larsson and using his cap hit to sign an actual 2nd line RW.
