I'm in between both of you on the Burakovsky topic. His inconsistency is the cause for this. He'll go through stretches where it looks like he should be scoring 35 goals a season, and then he'll go through a stretch where he looks like nothing more than an average, middle six forward. If it were me, I wouldn't trade Burakovsky right now unless it meant we were getting a star forward coming back. Is Pacioretty that guy? Not sure. He's inconsistent too, which would be the whole reason we trade Burakovsky. But I would wait until the end of next season to seriously consider shopping him, if he hasn't broken out and become a legitimate top six forward by then. He shows upside for sure. He does really well cutting in and shooting, which is something that the Caps could really build off of. If he can do that with consistency, than we wouldn't look into trading him. But he hasn't shown he can put it together yet. There's still time, so hold off on trading him for now.
