Pass on Filppula and Moore. We have kids younger and better. Bowey won't cost that much.

Forward depth looks pretty thin without giving a couple of veterans short term-contracts. I don´t know someone else than Boyd, Stephenson and maybe Barber that could come in and play a solid game in the big league.

I think it´s better to lock up Bowey until Niskanens´s contract expires, and although Bowey is unproven, three years will cost more than one or two years at around 1 million per.

I think Boyd is the future 3C. But if you have to give a vet a contract to play 3C then I'd just dish out the extra $1M to Eller. He's much better than Fippula.

I agree that Boyd is the future 3C but i don´t think he´s ready as soon as next season. Best scenario would be to get someone like Pageau in a trade with Gruby going the other way.

both Orlov and Schmidt got bridge deals nearing $2M...likely Bowey gets that too. Carlson is way overpaid.

Yes he is, but Caps won´t let him walk so that´s the price they have to pay...
