that buffalo trade is awful......so you give up a solid top 6 guy and a 1st for a ufa that you just sign after this season?

then you trade a solid d prospect and 2nd for mike green.....not 2010 mike green like current day mike green

not the best trades......caps dont need more players that will be overpaid like kane.....we need bc and beagles

Kane is way better than Burakovsky. We don’t need Beagle or Brett Connolly.

kane isnt way better hes playing well this year he also is going to command way more money.......what kane are you getting the guy that gets 30 points a year or the guy that gets 45+? ill pass on kane id rather have a solid bottom 6 then waste 6.5 million on a guy like kane.

also you 100% need guys like beagle and bc........with that kane signing how do you afford

carlson 6.5 million
eller or 3rd liner cener (3-3.5million)
Duclair
Bowey
Schenn or a vet bootom pairing guy to play with bowey assuming djoo will take that mike green spot
tom wilson

bc looking the cap carlson is WAY better than kane ........just saying id pay him before kane esp no knowing what kane youll get hes very inconsistent

Caps aren't in a good position to move first round picks. Prospect pool isn't exactly strong at the moment, so we need to keep our firsts. That's way too much for the Caps to give up, especially when you look at the salary outlook when we need to pay Carlson, Vrana and Bowey. Plus we then need to find another defenseman for next season, which costs money.

None of these trades are good.
- Bura is part of the Caps long term future...not a streaky over-paid Kane.
- You cannot re-sign many assets if you do much/most of these deals.
- You've under-valued Grubi
- You've under-valued Beagle to the Caps (he's a he part of their work ethic and locker room and worth every penny...)
- You've way over valued Mike Green. Caps say a HARD NO on bringing him back.

Caps need to TRADE CARLSON and get max value there as he is NOT WORTH north of $6M...heck, Bowey, Siegenthaler, Hobbs, Johansen, all could be better in the long run. Carlson is the laziest defender on the Caps and he's not scoring goals either....plus after one more year Orpik's albatross contract will be gone too...and even this summer you could attack the free agent market then and pay for a $6-$7M dollar guy MUCH better than Carlson...ie - Trouba, Dumba, Enstrom, Johnson...or wait until next year and go for a Doughty, Karlsson, Myers, Hjalmarsson...

Green's a 2R or 3RD on a winner, these days. Certainly not a 2LD.

Overpaying for Boyd Kane to add a third scoring line could make sense, but with one puck, I'm not sure how much more dominant he makes that first line, to justify moving him to the right side.

I don't think Arizona gets anything they want out of their deal, here.
