Description
It's expected Panarin wants to play in a bigger hockey city than Columbus. So jackets have to trade him or they will lose him for free next summer. I think there's a good chance he will end up in Chicago because he once chose to sign with them and he loved to play for blackhawks. I also think his trade value could be a little lower than expected because teams are afraid because he is a UFA in 2019 summer. But we know he loves Chicago and playing with Kane and hawks have much cap space so is this a good offer? Next year let Rutta walk and bring in Jokiharju. Also trade Anisimov if unable to stay under salary cap.

The only thing of value in this trade for CBJ is DeBrincat and the second rounder. You can count me on the Anti-Trading DeBrincat committee, the hawks are obviously looking to the future, as our recent draft would suggest.

I would love to have Panarin back, but not at the price of a player with a very bright future.

3 stars for filling out roster holes with beagle and Faulk.
