This would be a very competitive roster, and it is still very possible.
I would look to move Steen, Bouwmeester, Thorburn and/or Gunnarsson at first opportunity, for whatever picks I can get, in hopes of packaging a few of them and moving back up into the first round. But I didn't list those moves here as they are more likely to occur later in the season, there are NTCs to negotiate around, and it will take some time to evaluate which rookies in the Blues stable are most ready to be promoted.

Lehner is as big a ? in goal as Allen, but I make that happen because I think the team will play better with a different goaltender behind them, and I think Lehner will be night and day better with the Blues' defense in front of him. Finally, since I know it is likely to have been overlooked, before anyone yells about it, I didn't sign Fabbri because I traded his rights in the RoR deal. BUF can negotiate his next contract on their terms. If I had to qualify him before trading him, he'd get the minimum, and if I had to extend him to move him, it would only be a bridge deal. He has no leg to stand on in arbitration (pun not intended, but I'll take credit for it anyway).
