Zaitsev has been bad but can Leafs Brass rob the Oilers at the draft?


Would adding RNH make sense with Bozaks potential departure? It would give you a strong core down the middle with Matthews-RNH-Kadri and cheap 4C option. Rather then spending money on resigning our pending UFA's we should be trying to acquire a really good 3C and top pairing UFA defence (John Carlson).


And if you are wondering how they will manage the cap situation when its time to pay Marner and Matthews -- Ron Hainsey will be a UFA at the end of the season with no need of resigning him. Gardiner will also be a UFA. With Dermott & Liljegren on the raise there are cheaper and better options at D.

I know they don't but Chiarelli is kind of a dumb dumb and thats why Toronto might be able to rob them

Not saying I disagree with the trade but Brooks and Liljegren aren't NHL ready next year and maybe not Grundstrom.

Why does TOR want another Centre? They'll most likely be moving Nylander to centre soon so this really isnt something TOR needs to address. It's the defence they have to get.

Becuase you can never have too many C's especially when you have the option of using Nylander on the wing and even RNH on the wing. Also, Nylander may still not be ready in Babcocks eyes yet.
