Not sure Yzerman would give up six those picks for that return. Kaliyev is a big question mark imo. With losing Kane, this is a worse offense and it's right up against the salary cap as well. Also, not really dealing with the goaltending issues either. D looks more solid though!

Losing the picks would be tough but we do have a decent prospect pool and I didn't take out of it for any of the moves. Kaliyev is definitely a wild card for sure, I don't think I gave up much for him. I'm going with more than 11 minutes of ice time a game, he can produce. Losing Kane definitely makes the offense worse bit I added a 60 point guy in Karlsson who is also good in his own end and really good at face-offs, all that will make the team better in my opinion. Also, Theodore should be able to match Gostisbehere's production while not being ass defensively. Last season we had the ninth best offense but also the ninth worst defense, I don't really mind losing a bit of offense if we are substantially better defensively. I dealt with the goaltending by making the team much better defensively in my opinion. If it goes from bad to average, that's a win in my books.
