DeBrusk has been very inconsistent over the years and is coming off a down year (although he had a strong post-season). If the Leafs wanted to commit to someone like him then they would just bring back Bertuzzi or Domi. Rumor has it that Treliving has issues with handing out a long-term deal to those guys. My guess based on that and Treliving's past signings, is that he doesn't want to give either guy more than four and three years respectively which is probably why they won't re-sign. DeBrusk already mentioned that he played much of the season with a broken hand, so he definitely recognizes that his stock is down and put that information out there for that reason. So my bet is that he gets signed by the Leafs but only to a 1-year deal and that he'll seek a 6M+ deal on a multi-year contract next year (or this year if someone offers it).

Lindholm turned down 7x7 in 2 places. he's not taking less to be on the 3rd line in Toronto.

Cant wait to here on how awful Bertuzzi and Domi are after they sign elsewhere on July 1
