Hawks won't do Vlasic for Necas straight up. Just an FYI. And they shouldn't either.

I am not as convinced as the other 2 here that it wouldn't be worth giving up Vlasic for Necas, but i would certainly have to think about it quite a bit. I think the Vlasic contract is going to be an absolute steal after this next year. So it would depend on what a Necas contract would look like.

Both teams pass. Judging from his 6 year extension, Chicago sees Vlasic as part of their future and the canes don’t really need another long term LHD with Nikishin on his way and Slavin getting an extension soon. Orlov plays the 2nd pair and the money from Vlasic is used to bring in a better 2C or top line LW.
