Why would the leafs trade a 100 pt player that runs the PP and the PK for garbage players and one 1st overall pick? To clear cap and do terrible signings.

If you mive marner for cap, we should atleast get two 1st rounders and actual prospects.

SEA declines. Doesn't make sense for the team to acquire Marner right now. SEA can compete for the playoffs but Marner alone isn't going to move the needle enough to get them to a cup. Would rather just hang onto those pieces and be patient with our youth than try to force something now
