Remove the retention and send the 2nd the other way.

Sens can’t afford to retain and sign Necas. That would take most of our cap space and we wouldn’t be able to add a Dman or goalie

AWFUL overpay on Chatfield, Necas won't be traded for a D man, they only need a stop gap until Nikishin signs in April. Jarvis is getting bridged to bring the cap hit down, but that isn't nearly enough on an 8 year deal. That Teuvo contract is maybe a third of his value, Pass on Stamkos too. Would rather just put Necas at center

This doesn't work as a base. Carolina's defense isn't what needs addressing, it's the forward core
