Trades
1.
MTL
  1. Necas, Martin [RFA Rights]
Additional Details:
The Habs are in need of more top 6 talent, and picking up Necas for a bunch of guys who are replaceable and a pick that isn't likely to convert into anything too crazy is a great move.
CAR
  1. Harris, Jordan
  2. Mesar, Filip
  3. 2024 1st round pick (WPG)
Additional Details:
Considering Necas is entering FA anyways, Montreal giving up anything for him could be considered an overpay, so sniping his RFA rights in exchange for a wing who'll never fit in the top 6 for the Habs, a defenseman who's not going to be any more than a 7th D for the Habs, and a late first in a pretty weak draft is a competely fine price. This isn't to say they provide no value, Mesar and Harris are arguably overqualified for role player status, just that Montreal has young guys they'd be more likely to promote over them.
2.
MTL
idek what to send back, considering Liljegren would just block Mailloux and Reinbacher long term and Robertson doesn't get priority over any of the other middle 6 wingers. this probably turns into a 3 way deal and a 3rd team gets one of Liljegren or Robo and gives picks to Montreal
    TOR
    1. Dvorak, Christian
    Additional Details:
If half retained, Dvorak is the perfect stopgap for the Leafs to wait for Minten to join the team. If Minten is ready, then send Dvorak anywhere else that needs a 3c.
    3.
    MTL
    1. Veleno, Joseph [RFA Rights]
    Additional Details:
Veleno can be a depth center prospect, he won't be too costly to resign and can be easily moved out if Beck or another center prospect is ready. Anderson has steadily been declining since the Habs' finals run, so jumping off without giving up too much to dump Anderson's deal is a very safe move.
    DET
    1. Anderson, Josh
    2. 2025 3rd round pick (MTL)
    Additional Details:
Detroit has a TON of money to play with, and huge question marks on the middle 6 wings, so adding a tough guy who's shown to be pretty productive in the past is a worthy risk, plus they get a 3rd round pick out of it to compensate for alleviating salary for Montreal
    4.
    MTL
    DET
    1. Armia, Joel
    Additional Details:
Just send this man to the shadow realm or something, Montreal is stacked on wingers and don't need to be spending $3.4 mil on a guy who doesn't crack most NHL lineups

So Steve Yzerman is trying to get himself fired?

Detroit doesn't have a ton of money to play with.

They have to sign RFA's Seider and Raymond who'll get big raises.

They have enough bad contracts on their books.

They certainly don't need 3 more years of Josh Anderson. 🙄

I know everyone is biased towards their own team but... wow.

Leafs trade - We are not giving up young assets on cheap salaries for a forward with 37 points in his last 94 games. I would rather just use Holmberg or sign someone in FA. I wouldn't want Dvorak for free if you retained 50%.

Red Wings trade - Why would Detroit want to take on a contract of at least 5.5 AAV for a forward who scored 20 points in 78 games last year??? They are literally giving away the better player in the trade? Also, they do not have salary cap to play with as they need to sign Raymond/Seider. You would have to give up a 1st and then some for anyone to take Anderson off your hands. Use your Joel Armia logic for Dvorak and Anderson and you'll see how ridiculous this ACGM is to anyone that is not a Canadiens fan.

Good luck moving Anderson and Dvorak and get anything of value.
