PLD MTL

Call me crazy but if that 1st is #27 then I'd make this deal for the Habs. PLD isn't as bad as he was this year and I would think MSL would work with him and turn it around

I don't think LA is much better moving from PLD to Anderson. If they are committed to be competitive with Kopitar, I think as Blake has indicated, LA is going to make things work with PLD.

This guy is 25 and forced his way off two teams. Completely given up on one, playing some of the least inspired hockey. Then his next team, after 1.5 seasons he starts openly talking about playing for another hockey team and trying to force a trade. Has a chance to go to that team, and agrees to a mega contract with LA proving how much he really meant it about Montreal.

I am not touching PLD for the entirety of his career. That guy is a mistake waiting to happen. If his name wasnt French, Habs fans would have never wanted him to begin with.

I get all the red flags but he has to know by now that he's on his last legs in this league. I also have faith in Marty to bring the fun back to the sport for him. Plus, he's still a big 2 way player that should be good for 55-60 points a year. Overpaid sure but MTL isn't in cap trouble and the cap is going up. If it's a cheap trade like the one above, I'd take that shot

This isn't enough to get Saros away from NSH. 21OA is the most intriguing piece here as NSH has prospects that would make the lineup before Kaliyev, and NSH doesn't need more bottom 6 center prospects. The players coming back to NSH will have to increase significantly in quality for Trotz to consider moving Trotz. If this is the offer Trotz just resigns Saros instead
