Trying to see what this noise that Carolina won't be able to re-sign the three of them is all about.

The forward corps remains very strong but the defense needs some help.

What do Caniacs feel about the numbers for Drury, Noesen and Chatfield?

Jesper Fast traded to a team that has exactly one right-handed winger under contract for next season.

I didn't resign RFAs like Ty Smith or Nick Suzuki because I don't see them making the NHL next year and didn't want to clutter up the background.

I left a little money in the bank for a 14th forward, or else some different defensemen at the bottom two spots. (But my understanding is that Morrow is NHL-ready.)

-Chatfield could get more in UFA, Big RHD ya someone will overpay
-Noesen is getting min 2 mill after having 2 solid seasons he will want to get paid
-Necas/Drury could ask for more.

Contracts for RFAs is pretty solid for the most part outside of term I could see Jarvis taking a bridge deal but Necas probably wants term.
UFAs are off though, guys want to get paid and for players like noesen/ Chatfield who have been depth players most their career but just had solid contract years they are gonna want to try and bank the most they can.

That's about what I would expect from a Harris trade, not sure if Utah would really be in the market for a guy like Fast though. Good post overall.
