Kadri is huge part of the leadership group and is still a very effective player but the Flames would have absolutely no choice but to accept this deal. Especially considering that retention isn't involved.

The Bruins probably are going to sign Lindholm. No reason to give up their ability to make up a big offer plus a prospect and a pick.

Under no circumstances should Boston make this trade. They are better off being weak at center, keeping their picks and prospects, and trying to use their cap space at wing. They should patiently try to address needs in UFA over the next few years while focusing on addressing top 6 C long term through the draft. They can't keep mortgaging their future.

I'd be pretty happy with that trade from a Flames perspective.

Kadri was great this year, but I don't see him as a part of the next core.

PS: I think Lindholm is BOS bound, and he's going to be great for you guys.
