Description
Opening night roster, I hope Mikheyev is back soon but I'm losing hope with him. I'm also pretty down about Podz, I thought he was a steal for us after being ranked a top 3 prospect in that draft at one point. I desperately hope this is a Todd Bertuzzi, Tage Thompson kinda situation

The Canucks have been really good at drafting for a while, but I think ever since like 2020-2021 they’ve been bad at developing prospects. For example, Hoglander looked like he was gonna be a very solid top 6 forward for the Canucks but he has since fallen off and has been stuck in the minors. It’s not too late for him or for Podz, but idk man.

Only waiver exempt NHL ready forward but obviously he needs to earn his spot. With the cap as it is, I was expecting this. Be good for him to go down and play without pressure and see what he can do with the likes of Raty, etc.

Like you said, a lot hit and went to the NHL right away. Trent Cull was terrible at developing young guys and was trying to coach his way to an NHL job. He lasted one season with Vancouver last year....

Jeremy Colliton is a great coach and showed that last year in Abby. I think he could be a future Canucks head coach if not poached before then. He'll be great for Pod.

well they had 8 1st's from 2013 and 2018, only 3 are current full NHLers so I wouldn't say they've been REALLY good, maybe average at best

I'm with you that they've been poor at developing prospects, Lekkerimaki and Willander are opportunities for the new management and coaches to make up for previous mistakes
