Canucks pass. They’d maybe do Myers for Labanc assuming they move out a winger beforehand, but they aren’t giving up the rest for Ferraro

I cannot wait for the day to come and go when Myers gets his bonus and then doesn’t go to San Jose so those stupid trade proposals can go away

Caps accept this. Chesley might turn out to be a good top 4 defenseman but there’s a chance that doesn’t happen. The cap savings and offensive impact Barabanov brings over mantha are worth it imo. Also, all three of our NHL RHD are signed for three years, Iorio should be full time by 24-25 and he looks really good, and the caps have a thing for building their defense through trades and free agency. Everything adds up to this making sense for the caps.
