That's a solid offer for Colton. Just not the right pieces. Tampa is still in total "win now" mode. Any trade they make for Colton will be for NHL ready pieces that help them win now.

You do realize TB gave a 1-5 for Jeannot ( who isn't as good as Colton) . Which should show that TB doesn't value picks nearly as much as that Jimmy Johnson style point value chart does. When making a trade with TB ask yourself do the pieces they're getting give them a better chance to win now? If not it's not happening.

I could see this Hanifin trade working for both sides. Assuming Leddy can stay a top 4 D for the duration of that contract, that's a fair deal.
