Description
I hope this team is bad enough for a high draft pick next year but considering the coaching we got idk. Realistically I don't think some of these deals get done just so we're a worse team on paper, especially the Domi one but Bedard needs protection and Domi is a borderline psychopath.

Trades
1.
CHI
  1. Murray, Matt
  2. 2023 1st round pick (BOS)
Additional Details:
Hawks get closer to the cap floor and gain a late first.
TOR
  1. Entwistle, Mackenzie
  2. 2023 2nd round pick (NYR)
Additional Details:
Leafs get rid of Murray and gain a bottom 6 forward
2.
CHI
  1. Granlund, Mikael
  2. 2023 1st round pick (PIT)
Additional Details:
Hawks trade up and keep their 19th ovr pick in a stacked draft class while working their way to the cap floor. Could realistically get more/give up less here but I don't think anyone's complaining.
PIT
  1. 2023 1st round pick (BOS)
  2. 2023 3rd round pick (DAL)
Additional Details:
Pens get rid of Granlund and their first while staying in the first round whilst freeing up 5M+ cap space.
3.
CHI
  1. Faksa, Radek
  2. Suter, Ryan
  3. 2024 1st round pick (DAL)
Additional Details:
Suter waives his NMC so the Hawks buy him out making him a free agent and going to whatever team he wants. Dallas doesn't have much need for this first anyways as their prospect pipeline is already stacked enough.
DAL
Realistically Dallas uses this money here to re-sign Domi but they can fuck off and sign somebody else. Their fault for signing Benn and Seguin until they're in a retirement home.
    4.
    CHI
    1. Drury, Jack
    Additional Details:
Time to put an end to the Ian Mitchell Experiment
    CAR
    1. Mitchell, Ian [RFA Rights]
    Additional Details:
Drury needs a change in scenery (And requested a trade), what better place than the hawks who are looking for young talent.
    5.
    CHI
    1. 2024 6th round pick (CBJ)
    Additional Details:
Continue to build towards the future
    CBJ
    1. Blackwell, Colin
    Additional Details:
    Speedy 4th Liner.
    6.
    CHI
    1. 2024 4th round pick (COL)
    2. 2025 5th round pick (COL)
    Additional Details:
Hawks fill their missing 4th and 5th rd pick holes. Retain 50% on Dickinson
    COL
    1. Dickinson, Jason ($1,325,000 retained)
    2. Wagner, Austin [RFA Rights]
    Additional Details:
Dickinson is a solid add coming off a great season. Colorado gains more NHL Calibre depth so they don't turn into an AHL team come playoff time like this year.

Welcome, indeed. Sadly, Canes would not be interested in an Ian Mitchell experiment either. I believe they will be a little more prudent with a potential trade of Drury.

Thanks. Mabye you do add a little something in there alongside Mitchell but I do think Carolina would be interested, they have a great defensive system and i'm sure Mitchell would benefit from that.

Yeah I don't think the issue would be Mitchell benefiting from the Canes. He might. I don't see the Canes benefitting from him. They will target someone much more promising on that 3rd pairing. A big, proven vet at value cost. Someone who hasn't been splitting time in the AHL recently. Would love to afford Soucy, but maybe not. That is along the lines though. I see Drury being moved as a smaller piece in a much bigger trade deal.

Perhaps but i also see it as a situation like Kane where they want to send him somewhere that he can benefit from, mabye taking less value. (Mitchell + 4th/ 5th/6th?)
