Avs fans opinions on Girard aside, trading Mittelstadt post breakout year for another LD whose analytics are at best iffy is sort of a lateral move.

Mittelstadt is legitimately good. I don’t think Girard is all that good he’s small gets outmuscled isn’t good defensively he’s a slightly better Jacob Bryson.

I'd be surprised if Buffalo wanted to trade CM after a solid season where he's finally put up some points. I think it's a risky proposition from Colorado's PoV. Therefore I think both teams decline.
