I'm a die-hard Anaheim fan, but the third-round pick in that proposed deal is on the wrong side. And if you guys really "need" Sam Carrick. then God help you.

Throwing in Murray reduces the value of that trade from the Jackets' perpsective such that we don't want it. Throwing in Foegele makes it an instant non-starter. We are willing to retain, but we are not willing to take back term and we need compensation to take back cap.

I just see it as a cap dump to make room for other trades. Carrick would just be a 14th forward. Just depth
