Description
Prepared to be patient with the Flyers direction. We aren't trading players for unproven, trades will only happen if it makes this team better. No lateral moves. Minor signings if any due to the development of youth.

Sign Laughton/Leier/Weal to push one another for a spot in the NHL roster.

Lindblom is producing an insane rate in the SHL (do your homework) he makes the team from camp (hoping for).

Mason is brought back for 2 years while Stolarz/Lyon/eytc challenge and figure it out.

Call up Morin/Sanhiem and keep them together as a pairing

Balanced rosters in the NHL to provide depth.
Top 3 lines have pairs that play well together:
Giroux-Simmonds
Filp - Voracek
Coots- Schenn

Competitive roster in AHL for development.

We aren't getting away from AMAC, unless Vegas does us a solid - then we have Read on the 4th line or trade a body (Raffl/Read?).

UFA's of interest:
Gryba (RHD and depth at NHL level)
Mitchell (a TRUE 4th line C)
McClement (a TRUE 4th line C)

This is exactly what I'm hoping for! However, I could easily see Vandevelde get an extension this offseason and take Cousins spot on the 4th line lol. Also, the defensive pair are what I expect. However, it too wouldn't surprise me if Hakstol put Sanheim with AMac since he likes to strap our rookie defenders to AMac to "develop" them (i.e. Ghost/Provorov)..

Too funny that has been the case.
I like what Cousins brings to the team, speed and vision, 200' game, draws penalties, can play ANYWHERE in the lineup - don't want to see that missing next year. VDV, is barely a NHL player, but he is loved by Hakstol.... sad really. He doesn't belong.

While it might not be the most exciting I think this roster is basically spot on. I suspect Weal might get a bit more money because he's a UFA (like around $1-1.25m) and on a 2 year deal but that's just me being pedantic! I'm also beginning to think that it'll be Mason / Neuvirth next season because Stolarz hasn't been great since he went back to the Phantoms.

I think this is a pretty realistic line-up for next season. However, as good as the Morin/Sanheim pairing has been done with the Phantoms, idk that they start the year together. I'm not sure if the coaches are going to want to put two rookie defenseman together at the this level before knowing how they are going to fair.

Also, I'm detecting a bit of saltiness coming from Dangles cause no-one ever likes his ridiculous farm-selling trades.
