That defense is absolutely dreadful lol. And goalies.

Actually that is all pretty bad but of course this is without looking at other teams. I mean I think the Kings and they have guys guys like Schenn, Simmonds, Kopitar, Doughty, and Quick. That is insane. Caps have Ovechkin, Backstrom, Holtby to name a few. The Penguins have Crosby, Malkin, Letang, Fleury, and Murray. Blackhawks have Kane, Toews, Keith, Seabrook, Crawford. This is the exact reason why the Flyers have not won a Stanley Cup since the 70's. Our team has either missed on picks, traded them away, or not developed them correctly. I mean for god's sake Laughton is only on this list because he was a 1st rounder - he has literally done next to nothing in the NHL and he's been playing AHL/NHL for what three years or more?

I think this proves that drafting is the only way to build a team for the future and not crazy trades like we see posted on here.
