Description
Honestly, if they didn't make a move from this point (other than signing their RFA's), this is most likely what they do. Sutter is eligible for the second buyout window and that's the best case scenario if Ferland is ready to play.

It ain't pretty, but it's all they can really do now.

Höglander will not be a scratch, he will either be sent down, sent back or on the team. You cant do this with young developing players. They need to play

He'll play eventually, this is just the Day 1 lineup. Boeser was scratched the first two games in his rookie year. Same happen with Gaudette, but throughout the season.

I'd expect Hoglander to take Ferland's spot (if he gets injured) or Roussel on an every other game basis.

Benning is very high on Hog so wouldn't surprise me if he's in earlier.

Dont you think it would be better that he plays 24 minutes a night in the AHL or back in Sweden???

Will the AHL be an option then? We don't know this yet.

He could go back to Rogle BK if he wants too, but if we have a 60game season in 2020-21 and Hog plays around 30-40 games while practicing with the team in between can be really worth while. Especially if the AHL comes back later and he can go there after a chunk of time in the NHL.

Yes for the love of god, send him to Sweden to play and play lots. He can take a plane back whenever you need him if the AHL ever starts. Most of the Oilers young guys are already over their and will play the whole season.
