Description

Yeah it's probably an overpayment on the Matheson/Weegar trade but that works as a potential ceiling for that move. I could see it argued too that they wouldn't want to retain 50% of Matheson's contract so that would be valid too.

There's a just over $3M in cap space if Ferland is LTIR next season, so that leaves room to improve the 3C spot whether it's through free agency or via trade for someone with a bit of an expensive contract on someone else's books.
