Carolina pass hard. Kerfoot is a good piece, Andersen is a lateral move for 1 year, Holl is just bad and while SDA and a 1st are nice, Carolina are contending, not selling for the future.

Oh well! I kinda ran out of trade chips tbh. What could I add?

Andersen is 100% better then both of your goalies. Hands down. He'd be a top 5 goalie in the league if he played on a team with any defense. Holl is also not "bad". He's a 4-6 Dman with a very reasonable cap hit. He's exactly the kind of contract every team needs. Are there better options? Sure. Are there worse options? Definitely.

Now, I don't think the trade is what Carolina is looking for so I'd assume they would pass.

I'm actually surprised by this, Pesce has been injured the past 3 seasons, and missed the playoffs this year.

With Hamilton, Skjei, Slavin, and Gardiner under contract your top 4 seem rounded out.
Moving Pesce for depth up front in Johnsson would be a good move for now (remove Holl, that's dead weight cap dumping and worth nothing) and maybe insist on $1M in salary retention

Take Andersen and flip Mrazek or Reimer elsewhere, Sign Vatanen and Fleury and you'd probably be better up front and in nets with an already solid d-core.

    Oh and Draft Askarov.

Are you seriously trying to rationalize that trade for CAR?
