That’s a easy pass by the avs, they aren’t trading top prospects or young players on the roster for 30 year old forwards

Why not? Avalanche already have a very good young roster. They need experient talented guys. And they need a depth scorer. Their top line is the best of the entire league. But they need another elite player who can score to win a cup. Kessel is that guy. He raises in playoffs, when he's motivated. A fresh air in a very talented team would be enough to him get back on track.

Agreed. That’s a good return for kessel imo. I’d probably role the dice on Jost instead of Compher but both work. Timmins is a wildcard due to injury but he looked great before missing last season. Hopefully he can get back to form
