I've watched enough of Caufield in person. He was only shutdown by the team for his shoulder. He scored at a 46 goal pace with a bum shoulder. He's a 50 goal man in his sleep. A chance creating machine. Finds the open space and is almost impossible to cover in traffic.</div></div>

How is it possibly the second easiest position to fill. Maybe if you count a below average player as "filling" a spot but good D are a rarity left or right handed.

Went Wughes if he had big ballz
Slaf could be years away from the NHL.
Most scouts don’t project kidney as an nhl player.
Ferrell is 5 foot 7
Ylonen is a waiver wire type
Half those guys have minimal value.
They would literally be trading for a young star in his prime.

<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>Campabee</b></div><div>And a little brain. This is a serious overpay, I know it's Slaf a 1st and a bunch of B and C level picks but Slaf alone is a non-starter from the Habs pov. You don't trade a 1st OVA pick one year into his career for a Suzuki level player. You hang on to him and ride out the development to see what you got, he may or may not pan out but you banked on him so you ride him till he dies out. 2 1sts (top 10 protected) and a 2nd is about the max for a Zegras type of trade, here you have 2 1sts, 4 2nds and 2 3rds worth of value but why so much?! Zegras has had almost identical numbers to Suzuki over his career, do you think Suzuki could return that cause I got some seriously bad news for you if you do.</div></div>
How hard is it to understand that you have to overpay to acquire top players. Why you sound so butthurt. It would be the lower of the 2 1sts.

Drouin finds a 3rd line role
Drouins skating is mostly in tact, he can still fly around when he wants to. He’s still a dangerous passer and will absolutely rack up points on the PP if he sees Minutes. Thing is he can’t shoot at all anymore due to wrist injuries and teams know this, this is what made him go from a 5M player to a league minimum guy.

Former 1st round pick Logan Mailloux
A really good prospect in Sean Farrell
A decent player in Jesse Ylönen
For a 3rd liner …
I think you are the one who plays on EA & thinks Lafreniere is an Elite player</div></div>
lool. Not a move id make but this demonstrates what NYR would need to instantly say yes to moving him. All his points are at even strength, he would cook if he played 19 min a game on that first line and PP1.
Give the pick top 10 ovr protection and have it move to next years if so.
Ylonen - 3rd line triggerman
Farrell - hes too small for the league/Mtl already has CC in their top 6
LM - enough said
max 11th ovr
Can any of the above guys score 60+ pts on the first line right away? Laf can. Montreal has no shortage of Ylonens and Ferells

How hard is it to understand that is the point of the post. To show the kind of assets a REALISTIC trade would require. Trades are not like in EA sports
